In general, citrus juices are concentrated in order to make less expensive the transport and the storing within cold store cells, since the concentrate takes less volume compared to natural juice. This kind of juice is then diluted again and taken to the original proportions, so that bottling companies can use it single or with other juices to produce 100% juices, refreshing drinks or for other uses. Depending on the citrus, juices are concentrated from 5 to 6 times.
